Ben is the founder of Bushfire Risk Assessments. Growing up on the urban rural fringe of Sydney, he knows how devastating bushfires can be; his neighbours died in a bushfire and his family home was destroyed.

He started fighting bushfires in 1997 and  led fire fighters respond to the most devastating bushfires in NSW history.

Ben’s appetite to reduce the impact of bushfires is more than fighting them, he has studied them and written a thesis on managing the risk of Bushfire on the Urban Rural Fringe.
